The BLIFFTH Charity was founded under the patronage of the Barony of Brattleby in 2023.
Driven by Nicoleta Scarlat Baroness of Brattleby, the charity focuses on refurbishing unknown and forgotten historic Grade I listed buildings, restoring them to their former glory, making them open to visitors around the world and bringing a benefit to the local community.
Having experience in refurbishments of historic buildings and with a passionate love of history, the BLIFFTH team is looking to bring life to any Grade I listed building within the UK, which is either still in operation but needs improvement, or that has been left derelict.
The buildings that we are considering are churches, castles, mansions, public houses and others.
With the help of generous people, such as yourselves, we will reach our goals and bring the opportunity to the local community and to the visitors to enjoy a piece of history which otherwise would remain buried under passing ages.
The Feathers Association
Founded at the behest of The Prince of Wales in 1934, The Feathers Association is a charity with a unique and rich history, which will celebrate 90 years of continuous community service in 2024.
Building on its royal roots and led by the inspirational Mrs Freda Dudley Ward, the charity initially supported Londoners during the great depression of the 1930s’. Following the Second World War, The Feathers Association began to specialise in youth and community work, delivering a broad range of extra-curricular opportunities and life-changing interventions for some of London's most vulnerable children and families.
Since then, the charity has gained a significant reputation as a leader in centre-based youth and community work, having a direct and often life-changing impact on countless individuals throughout it’s near nine decades of work.
Despite much societal progress since the charity's formation, many children and their families still find themselves facing hardship, living in poverty and struggling to fulfil their potential.
